Memes are a language, and the Meme Generator gives you a quick way to speak it: upload any image and stack as much custom text on it as you want, positioned exactly where you like. It draws everything on a live canvas so you see the result update as you type.
Unlike the classic top-and-bottom-text generators, this one works in layers — start with the two defaults, add more, and style each independently. That makes it just as good for a straightforward image macro as it is for a multi-panel joke, a captioned reaction shot, or a quick social graphic. It starts with the meme-standard Impact font but offers four more, plus full control over size, color, and the outline that keeps text legible over busy images.
How to Use the Meme Generator
- Upload your base image — JPG, PNG, or WebP — by clicking or dragging it onto the canvas.
- Edit the two default text layers, or click Add Layer for more.
- Select a layer to expand its controls: choose a font (Impact, Arial, Comic Sans MS, Times New Roman, or Courier New), set size, and pick text and stroke colors.
